Steve Muenchrath - 1968 Type 141

Steve purchased this car in January 2005 from a friend who had it sitting in his
garage for about 10 yrs.  He decided to sell as he was moving to Atlanta. He wants to bring the car completely back to stock including the original Regatta Blue colour.  The only exception will be the motor, since the original 1500cc is missing he plans on putting in a 1600cc dual port.  Most of the convertible assembly pieces were missing with the exception of part of the frame. A bit tricky to track down as it is the
old style single crank latch.
 

The previous owner had patched sheet metal over the rusted floor pans and had fabricated a piece of metal that inserted underneath the rockers between the frame rail.  They had removed most of the body-pan bolts and just welded these pieces in to replace the structure.
