Doug Giebrecht - 1968 Type 143

Carstairs, Alberta

This car was found in an auto wrecker called Sunny Slope Auto Wrecking near Bremerton Washington, in September of 1983. Since then it has received a complete engine compartment and rear apron grafted from another car. The right headlight sheet metal has been replaced and the original headlight bucket re-installed. Most of the paint on it is original albeit somewhat worse for wear. Engine is a 1776 built from a 1600 dual port block.  Features include a balanced bottom end, Treuhaft 32-125 cam, Empi 044 heads ported and polished and dual Kadrons.  This car was rust free when purchased 20 years ago, although currently it has minor rust damage.  Plans are to enjoy it no matter how it looks and to remove the few rust holes it has.  Currently the car is parked as Doug is very busy with other projects.
